Provincial Club Championships Head Towards Finals

TWELVE clubs are still in contention for the AIB GAA Football Senior provincial Club Championships while in hurling the finalists have been decided in Leinster and Munster while Dunloy (Antrim) and Portumna (Galway) are the respective champions in Ulster and Connacht.

Portumna automatically get to represent Connacht in the AIB GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Club Championship semi-finals after winning the Galway title for a third successive year by beating Loughrea in the county final last Sunday. It’s Ballyhale Shamrocks v Tullamore in the Leinster final while Newtownshandrum will play Ballygunner in the Munster final. Both games will be played on Sunday week.

The big action continues next Sunday when Connacht stage their senior football final (Charlestown v Corofin) while there are football semi-finals in Leinster and Munster. Meanwhile, St. Gall’s and Loup have qualified for the Ulster football final on Sunday week.
